International High School Journal of Science.

International High School Journal of Science(IHSSJ) is the first print journal in the world which is dedicated to publishing original innovative research work done by High School Students. IHSJS has three issues in a year, spring, summer and Fall. Our goal is to have a copy of the journal in library of every high school in U.S. and in High Schools promoting science research in rest of the world. IHSJS is published from Fremont, CA which is located in Silicon Valley, technology innovation hub of the world.

 

Registration

Students must register for the Region 3a Science Fair using our Science Fair in a Box site. Online registration deadline is Feb 5, 2015 and all required Intel ISEF Forms must be received by Feb 5th, 2015. Special requests for any extension to this deadline must be approved in writing by Region 3A Director,  Barrington Ross no later than January 30, 2015

Rules

  • No projects will be accepted without advance registration and advance submission of all ISEF Forms.
  • The risk assessment form should be completed before experimental work begins.
  • Projects involving animals or people require prior review and approval.
  • No elementary projects involving research with micro-organisms.

Schedule

Competition date: Feb 14th (Saturday), 2015

7:30 -9 am RegistrationStudent Setup in the Designated ClassroomsDisplay and Safety Checks for all projects 
8-9 am Judges Orientation
9 am Assembly of participants in the AuditoriumScience Show in the AuditoriumNCSAS student go to designated classrooms

 

9 – 10:30 am Judging without students
10:45  am-12:15  pm Judges interview with students – bring books for students to occupy them when they are not being interviewed. No parents or teachers allowed in the classrooms while judging.
12:15 – 1:30 pm Participants’   Lunch
12:15 – 2:00 pm Judges’ Lunch and Deliberations
1:30 – 2:30 pm Public viewing of projects
2:30 – 2:45 pm Project breakdown and cleanup  – Projects not removed by 3:00 pm will be thrown away.
3:00  pm Awards Ceremony
