Science Fair Projects provide an opportunity for students to learn about the nature of science and research in areas of their personal interest. It involves real discovery of little known or unknown information. You, the student become the expert on your project! It integrates into one activity all of the skills that are usually taught separately. To complete a successful project, you will learn science, analyze data, formulate conclusions, and communicate your discovered information to others. While doing this, you will combine reading, writing, math, and science! As added incentive, students in North Carolina that are selected to represent their Regional Fairs can also win plaques, cash awards, and nomination to National and International competitions! As our State Fair continues to grow, the awards will increase in number and value! All ELEMENTARY (grades 3-5) and JUNIOR (grades 6-8) students will be required to submit the following:
