NC Science Fair Foundation
– March 22, 2018 – 320 plus STEM student researchers from all corners of NC will convene at NC State University's Talley Student Union on Sat., March 24, to compete in the 31st NC Science and Engineering Fair (NCSEF). Students in Grades 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12 will defend their original STEM research projects before 150 STEM field experts.
The public is invited to view the student research projects between 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm in the Talley Student Union.
The Awards Ceremonies will be held in the Stewart Theater (Talley Student Union) at the following times:
Elementary Division (Grades 3-5) at 2:30 pm
Junior Division (Grades 6-8) at 3:30pm
Senior Division (Grades 9-12) at 4:30 pm
The top Senior Division research projects will represent North Carolina in the INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Pittsburgh, PA, on May 13-18. Their research will compete against 1,700 students from over 70 countries.
Top Junior Division projects will be nominated to participate in the Broadcom MASTERS™ (Math, Applied Science, Technology and Engineering for Rising Stars). Both of these competitions are sponsored by the Society for Science & the Public, which inspires and recognized our nation's young scientists, engineers and innovators.
