NCSEF has rolling Registration Deadlines
All forms must be postmarked by the date listed below.

No forms will be accepted after February 22, 2013 (with the exception of Region 6B).
Students must participate in and qualify at a regional fair in order to participate in the North Carolina Science and Engineering Fair. |
Registration Procedures for All Projects
Step One: Complete Science Fair in a Box (SFIAB) online registration
Access the NC SFIAB registration system. You must have a valid email address and the password provided by the director of your regional fair in order to begin the process.
Carefully and completely fill in all requested information. Choose the same category that was used to qualify you at the regional level. It is very important that all contact information is accurate.
You will be asked to type in your abstract. Make certain that it is no more than 250 words.
Print the signature page that is created once SFIAB registration is complete. Secure signatures from the student, a parent and a teacher.
Step Two: Mail registration materials.
All registration materials must be mailed by the postmark deadline to:

The following items must be included in the registration mailing:

- Signature page printed from SFIAB with all required signatures
- ISEF Form 1, 1A, and 1B
- Copy of your research plan
- Copy of your abstract
- Other ISEF forms required by the nature of the experimentation. Click here for information from the Scientific Review Committee (SRC)
- A check made out to: NCSEF to cover the registration fee of $10.00 per participant plus any lunches or t-shirts ordered through SFIAB
Make copies of everything you mail and keep the originals. Bring them with you to the NCSEF competition in Raleigh. All mailed copies must be legible.
